Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information — in plain language.
Effective date: August 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Shannon Dee LLC (d/b/a Healthy Honeys)(“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit The New Lavender website. We care about your privacy and aim to be clear and honest about our practices. By using the site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information we need to operate the site, communicate with you when you ask us to, and understand how the site is used. At launch, this includes the following.
| Type of information | How it is collected | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | When you choose to subscribe or request information | To send newsletters, educational content, event updates, and information you request |
| Mobile number | When you choose to opt in to text messages | To send updates and information by SMS, only after you opt in |
| Name and message | When you submit a contact, speaking, consulting, media, or booking form | To respond to your inquiry or confirm your request |
| Registration & order details | When you register or pay for a class or workshop | To process your registration and payment, confirm your spot, and keep an order record |
| Payment information | Entered on our payment processor's secure hosted page (Authorize.net) — not on this site | To take payment. We do not see or store your full card number; we keep only an order reference and the last 4 digits |
| Usage and device data | Automatically, through analytics (Google Analytics 4) | To understand traffic and improve the site, such as pages viewed and general location |
We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information simply to browse the site. You can read and learn without giving us your contact information.
2. Information We Do Not Collect at Launch
To be transparent about what is coming later, the following are not collected at launch and will be addressed by an updated policy before they go live.
- Quiz or pathway selections. If a guided quiz is added later, any interest or intent selections it captures will be described here, including how they are stored and whether they are ever linked to your contact information.
- Direct product sales. Physical and intoxicating products are sold through HealthyHoneys.shop under its own policies, not on this site. (Paid class and workshop registration on this site is described in Section 1 and is processed securely by Authorize.net.)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to send you the communications you opt in to receive, to respond to your inquiries, to operate and improve the site, and to understand which content is helpful. We do not use your information to provide medical, dosing, or legal advice, consistent with the educational purpose described in our Terms and Conditions.
4. Health-Related Interests and Sensitive Information
The New Lavender is an educational site about cannabis and wellness. If you tell us about a wellness interest, for example by subscribing to content about a particular topic, we treat that information with care. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to make assumptions about your health.
We aim to keep any interest-based information separate from your identity unless you have clearly asked us to personalize your experience. We collect the least information needed to serve you.
5. Email and SMS Communications
We send email and text messages only to people who opt in. You control these communications.
Email. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We honor opt-out requests promptly.
SMS and text messages. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. We do not share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Analytics and Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and general traffic patterns. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies. This helps us improve the site. Analytics data is generally aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the site function.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in limited ways: with service providers who help us operate the site, take payment, and send communications, such as our payment processor (Authorize.net), an email provider, and an analytics provider, and only as needed for them to perform those services; when required by law; and to protect the rights, safety, or property of Shannon Dee LLC (d/b/a Healthy Honeys), our visitors, or others.
When you register for external programs, such as classes through Metropolitan State University of Denver, or when you follow links to third-party sites, those third parties handle your information under their own privacy policies, not this one.
8. Third-Party Links and Services
The site links to third-party websites and services, including course registration, product resources, and social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information to them.
9. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, such as keeping your email on our list until you unsubscribe, or as required by law. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
10. How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to safeguard your information and to use reputable service providers.
11. Your Choices and Rights
You have choices about your information. You can unsubscribe from email at any time, opt out of SMS by replying STOP, and contact us to ask what information we hold or to request that we update or delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or other privacy laws, such as the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
12. Children’s Privacy
The New Lavender is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, with an updated effective date. Significant changes, especially new types of data collection such as a quiz or product sales, will be reflected here before those features go live.
14. Contact Us
